Terms of Purchase
Welcome to Manuela. These Terms of Purchase (“Terms”) govern all sales of jewelry through our website. By placing
an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Order Acceptance & Contract
- Formation of Contract: Your order constitutes an offer to buy. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an Order Confirmation Email.
- Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity. If we cancel an order after payment, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
2. Pricing, Taxes & Duties
- Currency: All prices are listed in HKD (unless otherwise selected).
- Transparent Pricing: Like our commitment to quality, our pricing is transparent. We eliminate traditional retail markups to provide you with "Affordable Luxury."
- Import Duties: For international orders (outside Hong Kong), you are responsible for all local import duties, VAT, and customs fees. These are collected by the carrier and are non-refundable.
3. Product Representation & Materials
- Hand-Finished Quality: Most of our pieces are hand-finished (e.g., hand-set Grade 5A Cubic Zirconia and 2.5μm Gold Vermeil). Due to this craftsmanship, slight variations may occur.
- Cubic Zirconia (CZ): We use premium lab-grown CZ as a high-quality, ethical alternative to mined diamonds. Please note that CZ is not a natural diamond.
- Gold Vermeil: Our Gold Vermeil consists of a thick layer of gold over 925 Sterling Silver. While more durable than standard plating, it will naturally wear over time depending on care.
4. Shipping & Risk of Loss
- Delivery Estimates: Shipping times are estimates and not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by customs or carrier issues.
- Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss and title for the products pass to you upon delivery to the carrier (e.g., SF Express). We recommend ensuring your shipping address is secure.
5. Returns, Exchanges & Exclusions
- 30-Day Window: You have 30 days from the date of receipt to request an exchange or return for a refund.
- Condition: Items must be unworn, in their original packaging, with all tags attached.
- Non-Returnable Items: Due to hygiene regulations, Earrings cannot be returned or exchanged. Custom-engraved pieces and "Final Sale" items are also ineligible for return.
6. Limited Manufacturing Warranty
- 1-Year Warranty: We stand behind our quality. We offer a 1-year manufacturing warranty covering defects such as broken clasps or loose stone settings.
- 6-Month Color Guarantee: For Gold Vermeil/Silver pieces, we provide a one-time replacement if significant, non-accidental fading occurs within the first 6 months.
- Exclusions: This warranty does not cover accidental damage, loss, normal wear and tear (scratches), or damage due to improper care (exposure to perfumes/chemicals).
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any product is strictly limited to the purchase price of that product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
